December 2025Thank you for an amazing year together of pursuing a theological imagination for the common good! 👉 Your Gift Will Be Matched — $15,000 Year-End InvitationWe’re grateful to share a piece of good news with you. Three generous donors have come together to offer a $15,000 matching gift challenge, making it possible for every dollar given in these final days of the year to be matched and doubled. As we look toward the close of this year and the work ahead, this is a meaningful opportunity to come together and strengthen the foundation that sustains Faith and Justice. Thank you for considering how you might support this work!
Community Reflections on Life After DoomWhenever I’ve had this book sitting out, whether at a coffee shop or the doctor’s office, people have stopped to ask me about it. Of course, the title is dramatic – but it’s clearly hitting a nerve. I suspect that even folks who aren’t ready to face the future scenarios that Brian McLaren lays out for us still feel a looming dread. We know things are not as they should be. But we do not have much hope for a significant turnaround. Throughout the book, McLaren draws upon a variety of philosophical and wisdom traditions to help us pursue what kind of people we will be in a world falling apart. Here at Faith and Justice, we are deeply grateful to have this space for wrestling with impossible questions and cultivating a life together marked by fierce love. —Sophie Callahan Join Us for January
→ Join today as an individual or become a church partner. In January 2026, we will gather to explore how stories of belonging can guide us toward lives of collective flourishing, even in a world where exclusion so often prevails.
Our keynote speaker will be Pádraig Ó Tuama, theologian, poet, and conflict transformation practitioner. Pádraig will be joined by an inspiring lineup of speakers, including Adriene Thorne, Gail Song Bantum, Megan Pardue, and Tyler Sit and Imagination Workshops with Barbara Lyon. We're excited to announce two optional offerings on Friday between sessions. Sally Steele, co-founder and CEO of Outdoorithm Collective and Outdoorithm will offer an experimental, one-hour gathering called Sacred Spaces: Grounding Practices for Belonging. Then, join us for a happy hour to spend more time connecting with the amazing people attending the gathering. We’re grateful to offer sliding scale ticket prices for this event. Tickets include single evening options as well as the full three-day gathering.
